Autumn in the region of Little Carpathians is full of colours of vineyards and fragrance of young wine. Winemakers there introduce you to them thanks to the festival of open cellars, an event that joins wine, art and food of Little Carpathians.Wine lovers have the chance to get to know 30 winemakers in total from the Little Carpathians region thanks to the proven wandering format through wineshops on 9th of November from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It's possible to visit them thanks to shuttle transport.
Visitors can taste directly at wineshops and they can be pleased by specialities of regional cuisine in local restaurants, because a good wine distinguishes itself in combination with a good meal. They have also the chance to discover regional culture while in wineshops, and that's in the form of musical performances or exhibitions of photographs, paintings or other artistic objects.
Taste of Little Carpathians founders are awarded wineshops Karpatská Perla, Skovajsa vinohradníctvo a vinárstvo, Terra Parna, Repa Winery, Hacaj s.r.o., Vinárstvo Vinkor, Vinárstvo Peter Ratuzky and Vins Winery – Richard Tóth. Since the idea to organize an autumn wine, gastronomy and cultural festival originated, tens of winemakers from Pezinok, Modra, Šenkvice, Doľany (Vína z mlyna), Častá and Vinosady have joined the project.
Wine lovers can taste sorts that have been planted in Little Carpathian region since time out of mind. Because a bonus for buying wine at value 5 euro is a part of the ticket, they can take their favourite one home. Everybody gets also a glass with logo and a small bag, as well as a guide with a map and list of wineshops, restaurants and artists who have joined the project.
